The Colombian Nairo Quintana (Arkea-Samsic) won the 54th Tour des Alpes-Maritimes et du Var Cycliste on Sunday February 20 by also winning the 3rd and last stage disputed over 112.6 km between Villefranche-sur-Mer and Blausasc ( Alpes-Maritimes). As in 2020, Quintana thus won the two stage races in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region in the space of a week, he who had already won on February 13 in the Tour de La Provence. He is ahead of the Belgian Tim Wellens (Lotto-Soudal) overall, the Frenchman Guillaume Martin (Cofidis) completes the podium.
