Finally an All-Star Game in Boston?

The last time Boston hosted the NBA All-Star Game, unbelievably given the franchise’s place in league history, was in 1964! During this time, many franchises have even welcomed him on several occasions.

The main recent concern for the absence of the All-Star Game in Boston is that the NBA franchise does not own the TD Garden. He belongs to the Boston Bruins, the NHL team, and the two franchises have a strained relationship, which complicates matters.

But if we believe the Boston Globe, the owners of the Celtics have decided to apply to the NBA to host the All-Star Weekend in the coming years. In 2023 it will take place in Salt Lake City, in 2024 in Indianapolis and the location of the 2025 edition is yet to be determined.

Also according to the Boston Globe, the NBA would be delighted by such a decision, because inevitably it would like its biggest event with the NBA finals to take place in one of its biggest markets. If this request is confirmed, there is no doubt that Boston would instantly become in a very good position to host a future edition.

The NBA still has requirements for the room, which is aging, but work has been done in recent years.
