It took a while, but it finally happened: the Samsung released the public beta of One UI 7.0 for Galaxy S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra users.
Fulfilling its promise, the update is initially available in Germany, with the Galaxy S24 FE being the only device of this generation to be left out of the “first batch” of the beta.
According to reports from several users, registration for the beta program opened at midnight on the Samsung Members app and the software, which is based on Android 15, can now be downloaded.
For now, Samsung does not say when the public beta of One UI 7.0 will begin in other countries, such as South Korea, the United States, India and China.
The company also does not have an official schedule with the list of devices that should be part of the “first batch” or “second batch”, as there are rumors that intermediate cell phones should only receive the beta in January 2025.
In any case, One UI 7.0 brings a series of visual improvements, including renewed and more fluid animations. Some other highlights already revealed by leaks can be seen in the software’s control and notification center, as well as in the new media player.
Samsung’s native apps also gained new icons, there is an “activities” feature on the lock screen and a series of changes to the camera app.
