Prince Harry is homesick and misses his old life in Great Britain. But the solution to his problem could be closer than expected.

He currently seems to be speaking from Prince Harry’s (39) heart. King Charles III’s youngest son has been living since 2020. But the initial euphoria is said to have been followed by disillusionment – at least for Prince Harry.

After Harry and Meghan had to vacate their British home, Frogmore Cottage, they have to rely on hotels when staying in their old homeland. “He appears to have distanced himself from his college friends and has no permanent residence in the UK,” royal expert Mark Boardman told the OK!-Magazine. “There is no doubt that Prince Harry longs for his old friendships. Harry’s real friends all live in London. All his Hollywood acquaintances are not his friends.”

However, a return to Great Britain does not seem to be up for debate, even if Prince Harry’s mood is causing tension among the Sussexes, according to experts. “Meghan is frustrated that Harry wants his old life back.” But the solution could be just around the corner – a move within California.
“I would say if he wants a ‘UK dose’ he should move closer to Santa Monica, a notoriously British wealthy area,” says Brendan Brown of real estate agency Westside Estate Agency The Mirror. “There is a famous pub, The Kings Head, which has a shop attached to it that sells British products that you can’t get elsewhere, like real British bacon, twiglets and so on.”

The city is located in Santa Monica Bay, south of Malibu, and can be reached quickly from LA by bus and train on the Los Angeles Metro Rail. Main attractions are the Santa Monica Pier and the pedestrian Third Street Promenade. Due to its proximity to Hollywood, Santa Monica is often the setting for films and series, including “Forrest Gump” and “Baywatch”. Acting stars such as Robert Redford (87), Tobey Maguire (48) and Christina Ricci (43) were born here.

If Harry and Meghan continue to intend to produce formats for Netflix, the LA branch of BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) could actively support the two, says Owen. “Alternatively, Brits in LA is a community that has been growing for almost 20 years. The members are exceptionally good at welcoming new Brits to LA and giving them a feeling of home.” Santa Monica would be even closer to Hollywood than Malibu, which is said to have been Meghan Markle’s desired place to live.
