Finland wants to join NATO, will Sweden follow?

Sweden traditionally sees itself as a role model for peacebuilding – does that go together with joining an alliance with nuclear weapons?

The question of joining NATO is much more controversial in Sweden than in Finland. This has to do with the way it sees itself as a state that sees itself as a pioneer of peace policy and disarmament. A part of society is therefore finding it difficult to give up non-alignment.
