After 5:00 pm, this Wednesday a fire allegedly caused by a gas leak was reported in tower 6 of Terrazas del Aluminum, Puerto Ordaz.
Due to the fact, Marhyes Rodríguez, 41, suffered first and second degree burns and was transferred by private means to the Dr. Manuel Siverio Castillo Military Hospital.
According to the details received, it was a gas explosion with fire from an 18-kilogram LPG cylinder.
Because the owners of the apartment had no supply through the assisted pipe system and were cooking with a cylinder.
Apparently, the cylinder pipe had been left open and following an insertion point, the explosion was generated.
