Fire in Karpathos – Call 112

An alarm was given to the Fire Department for a fire that broke out late Friday afternoon in Karpathos, specifically in the island’s landfill.

A force from the Fire Department rushed to the scene in order to deal with the front, while citizens and visitors of the island also received a warning message from 112.

“Fire at the waste collection site (LANDFILL) of Karpathos. If you are in the Menetes area of ​​Karpathos, stay ready and follow the instructions of the Authorities”, says the notification of Civil Protection through 112.

The fire was extinguished after the intervention of the forces.
