The garage part of the building is completely destroyed as well as the station store. Thanks to the intervention of the 25 firefighters present, the fire fortunately did not reach the petrol pumps or the gas cylinders present outside the building. Firefighters also cut off the power supply.

“A person, trying to save what could be saved, was injured. She suffered from burns and was taken away by the ambulance around 3:30 p.m. Currently, the firefighters are still on the scene. It is therefore difficult to comment on the circumstances of the fire”, indicated the police present at the scene.
A fire that caused thick black smoke visible for several kilometers. Arriving shortly after 3 p.m., the firefighters, reinforced by an officer, were quickly able to contain the fire in the garage and store area.

“The fire was very sudden. Shortly before 3 p.m., I saw flames emanating from the garage. We immediately called the fire brigade,” testifies a neighbor.
Traffic was interrupted rue de Givet during the intervention of the firefighters.
At the end of the afternoon, the Luxembourg Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that it had mandated the lab to determine the origin of this fire.
