Fireworks Belgium: Raising Awareness and Campaign for Firework Safety

2023-12-19 20:08:00

The Burns Foundation launched a new prevention campaign on Tuesday to raise awareness among the general public of the dangers and risks linked to the use of fireworks during the end-of-year celebrations. The organization also wants to obtain a total ban on the purchase and use of fireworks by individuals.

The number of fireworks victims continues to increase, according to a press release from the Burns Foundation. However, the latter alerts each year on the situation and raises public awareness of the dangers and risks linked to the handling of fireworks. The new campaign prevention is intended “visually very concrete” and is accompanied by the creation of a new website: www.fireworksbelgium.be.

The Fondation des Brûlés therefore intends to raise awareness of the dangers linked to the use of fireworks with a simple slogan: “Don’t use fireworks!”, explains Jérémy Dumortier. “However, we are aware that this message does not reach everyone and that some people do not understand the dangers of their manipulation.”
