One of the most sought-after copies among book collectors is the first edition of “The Black Heralds”of Cesar Vallejoprinted in the workshops of the Lima Penitentiary. bears date of 1918.
Scholars have traced less than 10 copies of this first edition of “The Black Heralds”the inaugural poemary of Cesar Vallejo. On the Iberlibro.com portal it is offered for 4,500 euros (U$ 5,046).
Jesús Cruz, of the Morton auction house, points out: “There are collectors who want this book so much that to secure it they can pay a much higher price than what is offered.”
