This is a first in Fréjus but also in the Var according to the organizers who, as precursors, have already hosted a first sale of this type in the Alpes-Maritimes.
Thus, for the first time, a surprise package sale will take place in Est-Var over four days. Either from Saturday to Tuesday, at the Palais des Rings, located in the heart of the Palud industrial zone.
Since the Agec law, promulgated in 2022, prohibits the destruction of new non-food items, certain companies have specialized in the sale of packages which, for one reason or another, have not been distributed to their recipients.
And this in the same way as some large stores which, in these times of crisis, have been supplying ‘surprise shopping cart’ days for several months… following unsold goods.
Buyers can feel, touch, weigh
“It’s a sale that is both original and fun, confides Abdelkader Zouitene, manager of the company VIP Colis based in Nice. In view of the Agec law, tons of undistributed packages are now put back on sale… And this within the framework of a sale by the kilo and, above all, blind. And for good reason, the principle is to never open these packages left hanging. Buyers can feel them, touch them, weigh them without ever knowing what is inside. Sometimes there are very good surprises…”
Notice to bargain lovers, this unprecedented sale is open to all.
But at what cost?
“A kilo of parcels is worth 15 eurosannounces Abdelkader Zouitene before detailing. But in one kilo, you can buy several packages. Then, there is a decreasing price depending on the number of kilos. For example, 10kg of packages purchased are equivalent to a package of 140 euros… That is 10 euros less compared to the initial price for a kilo.”
Shoes, handbags, branded suitcases, various textiles, vacuum cleaners and other high-tech products, this sale is worth the detour in more than one way.
“It’s all or nothing! But even if some packages may not suit the person, it is always possible to please a friend or relative of the family. And if this were not the case, it will be still possible to resell the products from these surprise packages on the various social sites specializing in the sale of products from person to person.”
And to enhance these four days of sales during which there will be the opportunity to do great deals, VIP Parcel really wants to make an impression.
Eight tons of packages waiting!
“For this first sale in the Var, the company VIP Colis enhances everything by offering prestigious lots such as iPhone 15, AirPods 3 and other espade weekends”, concludes the instigator of this first sale by the kilo.
“I have seen purchases per kilo of up to 200 euros for a package which was in fact worth more than 1,200 euros. For these four days of sales, we will put on the shelves five tonnes of packages that we have planned for this first Fréjus. And this can amount to up to eight tonnes of parcels which we keep in stock. As an indication, during our first meeting in Nice, we sold 2.5 tonnes of parcels in two days. This can go very quickly …”
And for good reason, no fewer than 500 people are expected every day at the Palais des Rings, located at 129 rue Albert-Einstein, Palud zone. If only for the good luck or, more simply, for the spectacle, this parcel sale is worth the detour for more than one reason.
