First execution linked to protests in Iran, according to state media – Iran

Tehran – In Iran, a death sentence has been carried out for the first time in connection with the almost three-month-long protests against the leadership in Tehran. The state news agency IRNA reported that a man was executed on Thursday for injuring a member of the paramilitary Basij militias during a road blockade in Tehran at the end of September.
