Photos from the set of this highly anticipated sequel to The Joker, which is due in theaters in October 2024, seem to confirm that the singer will play Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix.
Lady Gaga in superheroes. The American singer appears this Saturday in photos from the set of Joker: Madness for Twothe continuation of Joker by Todd Philipps, which takes place in New York. And the disturbing clown costume she wears there leaves little room for doubt as to the role she will play there.
The presence of the singer in this second part was announced last year. Since then, a first photo of her facing Joaquin Phoenix, who will resume his role as Batman’s enemy, has been unveiled by the director. If all the rumors announce that she will play the Joker’s lover, the formidable Harley Quinn, no official source has confirmed it.
It is increasingly difficult to imagine a different scenario as these new photos recall the costume and make-up of this character who appeared in 1992 in Batman: The Animated Seriesand recently played by Margot Robbie in the films Suicide Squad et Birds of Prey.

The first part told how Arthur Fleck, a misfit man rejected by society, was transformed into a bloodthirsty killer by dint of humiliations.
The feature film had met with worldwide critical and commercial success and was nominated 11 times for the 2020 Oscars, from which Joaquin Phoenix left with the best actor statuette. Joker: Madness for Two will mark the return to the big screen of Lady Gaga after A Star is Born (2018) et House of Gucci (2021).
