For the second day in a row, the scientific sessions held within the activities of the First International Conference on Forensic Sciences, organized by the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, continued by holding 34 specialized sessions and workshops.
The scientific sessions witnessed a remarkable attendance by interested specialists and workers in the field of forensic medicine from inside and outside the country, university students and interested legal professionals, who were keen to be present and benefit from the topics presented in the scientific sessions and workshops presented by scientists, researchers and specialists from the world.
In one of the sessions, Professor Dr. Dina Shukri, President of the Arab Federation of Forensic Medicine, spoke about the importance of artificial intelligence in the field of forensic medicine and toxicology work, and the important role that artificial intelligence played in saving time and effort for workers in forensic laboratories, through the speed and accuracy of signing tests and analyzing data.

The speaker reviewed the history of artificial intelligence, risk assessment, biological trait analysis, data and output analysis, and simplification of procedures, especially with the presence of modern technologies and algorithms that play a role in voice and image recognition. Dr. Dina Shukri stressed the importance of adhering to the rules of the ethical aspect in the uses of artificial intelligence, to ensure transparency and integrity in Outputs and achieving justice.
The conference presented a workshop on (Identifying Disaster Victims), presented by a cooperating global team of experts and specialists from (4) countries, namely (Malaysia – India – Italy – England), for a period of (6) hours, explaining and reviewing the latest scientific developments in the field. Forensic dentistry, bone identification, discussion of the latest scientific research in the field of fingerprints, and how to detect and collect forensic evidence and deal with it in cases of mass disasters.
In another session, Dr. Jaskaran Singh, head of forensic medicine in India, stressed the importance of smart forensics, and the necessity of moving from the old traditional methods used in forensic work, to advanced modern technologies, as a useful tool in criminal investigation and achieving results with high accuracy. Modern software
Singh pointed to the uses of nanotechnology, modern software, and smart applications at different levels of forensic science, in light of their ability to identify fingerprints and the types of poisons used and documents, identify correct signatures from forged ones, and other uses.
The French police also presented a research paper on mitochondrial DNA, while the Abu Dhabi Police presented a research paper on forensic entomology, and Ras Al Khaimah Police also presented research papers on human trafficking and its relations with forensic medicine, and on submitting forensic evidence in the wrong way.
The conference agenda was filled with the participation of an elite group of experts in the field of forensic evidence, where Professor Ashraf Moziani presented a research paper on the errors of forensic science analyzes and how to develop them. Dr. Hisham Farag also discussed raising forensic evidence in the wrong way, in an effort to combine efforts among all experts and technicians in various fields of evidence. Forensic science, to benefit from their expertise and experience in the advancement and development of forensic medical science research, and the search and detection of forensic evidence.
