Longines has expanded its refreshed Master Collection with new light blue dial variants for its time-and-date models, alongside a debut monopusher chronograph and an updated triple-calendar moonphase watch. The releases build on a major catalog overhaul launched earlier this year.
Longines is leaning into a distinctly fresh color palette for its flagship mechanical range, extending ice and light blue hues across its core offerings. Known historically for conservative, traditional styling, the brand has progressively introduced lighter blue tones to lines like the revamped HydroConquest 300m Diver and the Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve. Now, those same colorful treatments arrive on the classic time-and-date variants of the Master Collection.
The Light Blue Time-and-Date Expansion in 39mm and 41mm
The light blue treatment rolls out across both the 39mm and 41mm automatic time-and-date models within the Master Collection. These watches incorporate slim profiles, measuring 9.05mm thick for the 39mm versions and 9.50mm for the larger 41mm editions, framed by polished, concave-shaped bezels.
On the dial, the watches feature a stamped barleycorn pattern that channels traditional guilloché work, complemented by a grooved minute track and a smooth external track. All dial elements on these ice blue variants are rhodium-plated. Buyers can pair the watches with either a multi-link stainless steel bracelet or an anthracite alligator leather strap, both equipped with a triple-folding safety clasp featuring a toolless micro-adjustment system.
Inside both sizes beats the Longines-exclusive automatic movement, the calibre L888.5, developed by ETA on the basis of the 2892-2 architecture. Featuring an enhanced decoration, a silicon balance spring, and a regulator running at 3.5Hz, the movement delivers an elongated power reserve of 72 hours.
A New Monopusher Chronograph Joins the Family
While the time-and-date models offer fresh color choices, the standout mechanical addition to the catalog is the brand’s first single-pusher chronograph to enter the family. The start, stop, and reset functions are operated through a single button neatly integrated into the crown.
Encircling the dial is a pulsometer scale designed to help wearers calculate heart rate after timing 30 beats, a feature rooted in historical medical chronographs. The watch is housed in a 41mm stainless steel case measuring 12.6mm thick with a 48.6mm lug-to-lug distance, incorporating the same concave bezel seen across the refreshed collection.
The monopusher is powered by the manual-winding Longines-exclusive calibre L799.5, a column-wheel chronograph with a silicon balance spring providing a 68-hour power reserve. It is available in two dial configurations: a silver opaline look with polished rhodium-plated details, and a frosted blue with rose-gold-plated accents.
Refining the Chrono Moonphase and Complications
The third pillar of the collection’s expansion is an updated version of the Master Chrono Moonphase.
Driven by the self-winding L687.5 column wheel movement, the watch delivers a 66-hour power reserve. It is offered on a blue alligator leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet, each equipped with a push-button release and micro-adjustment system.
