Vienna/Brussels – The grants from the reconstruction fund in the amount of 700 million euros to Austria can flow. The payment “became possible because Austria met the 44 milestones and goals associated with the first tranche,” the EU Commission announced on Thursday. After the Brussels authorities had initially positively assessed the first payment application in March, the confirmation came following a statement from the Economic and Financial Committee (EFC).
