First technical characteristics for the OnePlus 11 5G

OnePlus will present its new flagship on February 7. The OnePlus 11 5G is already looking like a good candidate for the title of best smartphone of 2023, given the first rumors about the device.

The OnePlus 11 5G will be unveiled at the OnePlus Cloud 11 event to be held in New Delhi. India is one of the largest markets for the Chinese manufacturer, but the smartphone should be marketed all over the world, hopefully! OnePlus could also launch new OnePlus Buds Pro 2 headphones.

A benchmark confirms the rumors

OnePlus has yet to reveal anything about the specs of the device, however it’s pretty easy to guess that the OnePlus 11 5G will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. After all, it will be the chip of choice for high-end Android smartphones in 2023, there is no reason for OnePlus to ignore it. Especially since it is also a marketing argument against the competition which will also use this system-on-chip (the iQOO 11, Moto X40, Vivo X90 Pro+ and Xiaomi 13 are already planned).

A benchmark has also appeared online. The device was tested with Geekbench, which measures processor power: the test single-core gives a result of 1.493, the test multi-core 5.112. This is in line with other benchmarks of the Snapdragon chip. The listing gives some interesting details about this future OnePlus 11, starting with the number of cores and their configuration: 1 + 3 + 4, with a frequency that can go up to 3.19 GHz. The GPU is as you might expect, an Adreno 740.

The benchmark also indicates that the OnePlus 11 tested has 16 GB of RAM. We do not know on the other hand if it is about the basic memory or if there will be an even better endowed model (or less well). Unsurprisingly, the smartphone will run Android 13 and it will support fast charging at 100W.
