First test images from space telescope Euclid arrived – outer space

Exactly one month ago, the rocket that carried Euclid into space was launched. The probe of the European Space Agency (ESA) has a major task: It should help astronomers to research the mysterious dark matter and dark energy. As a space telescope, Euclid maps billions of galaxies in just a few years with the help of two instruments. The first test images that the probe has now sent to Earth prove that these are working as planned.
