Who is Rumy Alqahtani?
Rumy Alqahtani is 27 years old and originally from Riyadh. She works as a model as well as a digital content creator and a few days ago, she was chosen to represent her country in beauty pageants – a pivotal moment for women in Saudi Arabia.
She announced the news on Instagram, writing: “I am honored to participate in the Miss Universe 2024 pageant. This marks the first participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in beauty pageants Miss Universe».
Apart from the Miss Saudi Arabia crown, Alqahtani holds many other prestigious titles such as Miss Middle East (Saudi Arabia), Miss Arab World Peace 2021 and Miss Woman (Saudi Arabia).
But Alqahtani has not dealt exclusively with fashion. Her academic career is equally remarkable, compared to the majority of her compatriots, who have not received this type of education.
She has a degree in dentistry, can speak English, French and Arabic and is a source of inspiration for many women around the world. Her Instagram profile already has 1 million followers, the number of which is expected to increase significantly following the beauty pageants.
