after the singles Bright on the mic together with Angela Aguilar and Sasha, Sissi and the circle of slime along with Mon Laferte, premiered with their respective video clips, Fito Páez released the clip of the version of the veronica along with Nathy Peluso.

The director, once again, is Diego Alvarez (of the Plataforma Producer). It was shot over two days in Madrid, and tells the story of Fito and Nathy as scriptwriters for a film that takes place in Rome with the veronica (with Eugenia Kolodziej as the protagonist).

There is a nod to the classic by Jean-Luc Godard Breathless (“Breathless”), a film starring Jean-Paul Belmondo in 1960.

Páez’s love for auteur cinema is reflected in this little work of just over 6 minutes, where we see the artists working on the script for the film “La Verónica”, in a flat in a European city, and We also witness the action of this shoot that is taking place in Rome, with some beautiful images where Eugenia meets an Italian actor. At the end of the video clip, Fito and Nathy leave the apartment and walk through the streets of Madrid.

“Nathy is Nathy, one of the most important artists in the world today. A woman of integrity, linked to the musical language. Here I gave myself one of the luxuries of my life. My father would play me a Sinatra record with Jobim. There was a topic there called dindi, where Tom plays the Spanish guitar, accompanied by very little percussion and an orchestral arrangement by Claus Ogerman that makes you say ‘this will never happen again’. But it was the concept to make my new version of the veronica. Another treat was calling Rob Mounsey, one of Steely Dan’s brass arrangers. For me, it’s a pinnacle of my life’s favorite arrangements. With Nathy’s voice, in the middle, imagine…it’s a scandal,” Páez said.
