The Minister of the Economy, Pierre Fitzgibbon, does not lack self-deprecation.

Passing through Bombardier Recreational Products facilities today in Estrie, he struck a pose while riding an electric motorcycle, himself winking at the photo of him which had caused many Quebecers to talk during summer.

In August, he said that the number of cars on Quebec’s roads would have to be halved to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050.

“Consumer habits must change,” he added in a press scrum in parliament to explain himself.

Then, the same day, a photo of him acquiring a gleaming BMW motorcycle resurfaced on social networks.

It was published by the Gabriel BMW Motorrad Montreal dealership to highlight the purchase made earlier in July.

“With photos of motorcycles being popular lately, I mightn’t help but take a photo with the latest model of electric motorcycle developed by BRPnouvelles! To be kept for the archives. Who knows, I might acquire one in 2024.”

Also tempted by Friday humor, the Prime Minister shared the message from his superminister, adding: “Photo for the Journal de Montréal”
