During a series of operations carried out by the National Police in different sectors of Medellín, five people were captured for possession of marijuana.
The arrests were carried out at different times of the day and in different locations in the city.
The first arrest took place at 12:45 p.m. on Carrera 44 and Calle 86, Barrio Manrique, where a 24-year-old man was detained by the quadrant patrol with 130 grams of marijuana in his possession.
This individual was placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office.
In a second incident, at 5:30 p.m. on Carrera 50 and Calle 70, Barrio San Pedro, another 28-year-old man was arrested for the same reason, and was found in possession of 120 grams of the same illicit substance.
This subject was also handed over to the relevant authorities.
Others captured:
A third arrest took place at 4:15 p.m. on Carrera 50C and Calle 67, Barrio San Pedro.
Where a 53-year-old subject was arrested with 120 grams of marijuana.
Like the previous cases, this individual was left at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office.
In the fourth operation, at 5:20 p.m., on Carrera 51B and Calle 71, Barrio Sevilla.
Another 35-year-old man was captured with 130 grams of marijuana.
The quadrant patrol detained him and handed him over to the corresponding authorities.
Finally, at 09:00 a.m. on Calle 23 and Carrera 65G, Barrio Trinidad.
A 29-year-old man was arrested with 200 grams of marijuana in his possession.
He was captured by the quadrant patrol and placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office.
All the seized narcotics were handed over along with the five people to the corresponding judicial authorities for the pertinent legal procedures.
The operations were carried out by different quadrants of the National Police in Medellín in their continued work to combat drug trafficking in the city.
