Riyadh: Security departments arrested five people, including a woman, from different parts of Saudi Arabia with drug stocks. The General Directorate of Narcotics Control arrested two people, including a Syrian woman, from Riyadh. A woman who came to the country on a visit visa and a Syrian citizen who is in the country under legal iqama were arrested. 7,32,010 drug pills were found with them. The spokesperson of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, Major Muhammad Alnajidi, said that the legal procedures have been completed and the case against the two has been handed over to the public prosecution.
The Border Security Force arrested a Pakistani national with a stash of drugs in Al Dair of Jizan province. 100 kg of hashish was found in the possession of a Pakistani resident in the country under legal iqama. The stash of drugs was found hidden in the tires of the vehicle he was driving. The Border Security Force informed that the accused was later handed over to the concerned departments after completing the legal procedures. Another Saudi youth was caught with 47 kg of drugs in Jizan by the Security Regiment Patrol Section. The drug stash was found hidden in the vehicle of the arrested suspect in Dayr, Jizan province. The accused has been handed over to the concerned departments for further action.
A Yemeni was also arrested with 12 kg of hashish at a check post under the Highway Security Force at Al Khos in Makkah province.
The stash of drugs was hidden in secret compartments of the youth’s vehicle. The drug cache was found during a suspicious vehicle search at the check post. Legal proceedings were completed and the accused was handed over to the concerned departments
