Investigators find flight recorders from crashed plane

Moscow. 25-th of August. INTERFAX.RU – Molecular genetic examinations have been appointed to identify the remains of ten people found at the crash site of a private Embraer-135 in the Tver region, stated representative of the UK Svetlana Petrenko.

Investigators continue to inspect the crash site. They found there flight recorders crashed aircraft.

They also seize items and documents that are important for establishing all the circumstances of the crash, the necessary forensic examinations will be appointed. According to Petrenko, all versions of what happened will be studied.

A business jet en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed in the Tver region. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, there were ten people on board, including three crew members. Among the passengers was a well-known businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin. The crash is being investigated under Article 263 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport).

Commenting on the incident, President Vladimir Putin noted that, according to primary data, Prigozhin and other members of the Wagner group were on board. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims, but noted that the investigation would need to conduct many examinations.

When asked if the Kremlin had confirmation that Prigozhin had died, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov also suggested waiting for the results of the examinations.
