A person lost his life on Friday evening in a traffic accident in Villers-devant-Orval, said the Luxembourg prosecutor’s office on Saturday morning. A second person is seriously injured.
Friday evening shortly before 10 p.m., in rue du Hawys in Villers-devant-Orval (Florenville), a vehicle in which there were three people left the road. He then hit pieces of felled trees on the edge of the road, specifies the Luxembourg prosecutor’s office.
One of the passengers died on the spot. Seriously injured, the driver of the vehicle was taken care of by the medical helicopter from Bra-sur-Lienne. His vital prognosis is engaged, indicated the prosecution on Saturday morning. The third occupant was taken to Libramont hospital.
The prosecution has called an expert to the scene. Concerning the circumstances of the accident, the magistrate on duty at the time of the events evokes a somewhat wide exit from the bend. The Florenville firefighters intervened on the spot under the command of an officer from Arlon. The rue du Hawys on which the accident occurred was completely closed to traffic.
