Florida Airplane Mechanic Kidnapping and Murder: Indicted Moneylender and Suspects Revealed

Florida : A moneylender is one of the suspects in the kidnapping and murder of Florida airplane mechanic Suran Seethal, 36, who disappeared after he failed to return home from work on Nov. 2, authorities allege. On Monday, the United States Attorney’s Office indicted three men who authorities allege “participated in the violent kidnapping and killing of Miami-Dade resident Suran Seetal.”

According to the US Attorney’s Office, Seetharam and Hunter have a hearing on December 28 and January 2. Singh’s arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 3. If charged in the federal indictment, Sitaram, Singh and Hunter could face life in prison or the death penalty, according to the press release.

Singh owed Seethal about $315,000 and told authorities that Seethal’s girlfriend was trying to collect on his debts, according to an affidavit in support of the criminal complaint obtained by PEOPLE.
