Florida authorities detained a subject after a resident of Tampa to install security cameras outside his house and discover how the man, who was his neighbor, injected chemicals under the door.

The attacker was identified as Xuming Li, 36 years old. In the security footage, he is seen putting the chemicals in with a syringe.

According to a police report, Li, 36, performed this procedure on “several occasions.”

The injecting chemist tested positive for methadone and hydrocodone. These are used to treat pain. As an adverse effect, they can cause restlessness, vomiting, stomach pains, breathing problems, diarrhea, skin irritation, fainting, and hallucinations, reported Telemundo.

HOW THE EVENTS HAPPENED

Umar Abdullah placed the hidden camera in the driveway of his home after he inhaled chemicals and his 10-month-old baby started vomiting.

Although the firefighters came repeatedly, they did not find the causes of the smell. It was there that he decided to place the recorders, which captured the precise moment in which Li injected the substances under the door.

Apparently, Li had been complaining about the noise in Umar’s house. “Even during war, the worst enemies do not attack the opponent, the other side, with chemicals,” the man commented.

Both Abdullah and his wife and son experienced trouble breathing and irritated eyes and skin. This is because they breathed in the chemicals for over a month.

As for Li, he was charged with one count of aggravated harassment, three for dispersing a chemical agent and one for possession of a controlled substance. In addition, he was charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, since a police officer also inhaled the chemicals.
