A Florida mother was charged Thursday with the premeditated murder of her ex-husband.
Shanna Gardner-Fernandez is also accused of conspiring to kill the man she had been in conflict with since their divorce in 2016.
The victim, Jared Brideman, was shot dead in February 2022 in front of his two-year-old daughter.

The man, who was a Microsoft executive in Florida, was hit by multiple gunshots as he got out of his vehicle to remove a tire lying in the middle of a Jacksonville Beach road.

A first man, Henry Tenon, was arrested last January in this case.
Accused of several counts, he pleaded guilty to second degree murder and denounced another man, Mario Fernandez Saldana.
The latter, who is none other than the new spouse of Shanna Gardner-Fernandez, was arrested in March and charged with conspiracy to commit murder, reports “People” magazine.

“Henry Tenon did not act alone. Mario Fernandez did not plan all this alone. Shanna Gardner’s prosecution shows she played a pivotal role in the premeditated murder of Jared Bridegan,” Florida State Attorney Melissa Nelson said in a press briefing Thursday.
“We should file notice of our intention to seek the death penalty,” she added.
According to several local media, it is the stormy divorce of the couple which would be at the origin of the murder.
