A Florida woman won a prize that gives you money weekly for life playing a Scratch-Off game called ‘$2,500 a Week for Life’ from the Florida Lottery. However, the winner preferred not to receive the money in this way.

The player, named Gloria Johnson, from the city of Shalimar, Florida, preferred to receive the jackpot winnings as a one-time payment of $2.3 million, instead of being given $2,500 every week for the rest of her life.

According to the Florida Lottery, Johnson purchased his winning ticket at the Raceway store located at 1183 North Eglin Parkway in the city of Shalimar.

The retailer who sold the winning ticket will receive a $4K bonus just for selling the winning Scratch-Offas reported on News Channel 8.

While the odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 3.95, the odds of winning the $2,500 per week jackpot for life are 1 in 8,508,000.

To date, four people have claimed the top prize. The odds of winning the second place prize, which is $10,000, are 1 in 202,571.

Players can get a ‘$2,500 to Week for Life’ Scratch-Off ticket for as little as $5.
