The price of gold stabilized today, Thursday, in Egypt, by evening trading, compared to mid-trading prices, with the metal declining globally.
And the price of a gram of gold jumped 50 pounds at the beginning of today’s trading, before returning and losing it in the middle of trading.
Yesterday, Wednesday, the US Federal Reserve raised interest rates for the seventh time this year, and the rate of increase came by 0.5%, in line with expectations, so that interest rates would be between 4.25% and 4.5%.
Yesterday’s decision means reducing the pace of interest rate hikes initiated by the Federal Reserve (the US Central Bank) since last March.
Gold prices today
The price of 14 karat gold reached 1100 pounds per gram.
The price of 18 karat gold recorded about 1414 pounds per gram.
The price of 21 karat gold settled at 1650 pounds per gram.
The price of 24 carat gold was about 1886 pounds per gram.
The price of the gold pound
The price of the gold pound settled at 13,200 pounds, and the price may vary from one trader to another, and this price is equal to the value of gold in the pound.
The global price of gold
The price of gold fell globally by evening trading today, Thursday, to about $ 1777 an ounce, a decline of 1.64%, according to Bloomberg agency data.
