Bern, 11/29/2023 – In collaboration with the Federal Inspectorate for High-Current Installations (ESTI), Fluke is recalling the FLUKE 17XX three-phase +N flat voltage test leads due to a risk of electric shock. Affected cords will be replaced free of charge.

What danger results from the product concerned?

The black plastic insulators that cover the neutral banana plug terminals of this cord set are fragile and may crack. Cracks are difficult to see with traditional inspection methods and can extend from the banana plug to the wearable area of ​​the connector, posing a shock hazard.

Which products are affected?

The product recall involves the “FLUKE-17XX” 3-phase +N flat voltage test leads. The products were manufactured between April 1, 2021 and November 2021 and have a start date code of 21-04 and an end date code of 21-11. The recalled cables may also be present in the Fluke 3540 Power Monitor, 173x Series Power Logger, 174x Series Power Quality Logger, or 177x Series Power Quality Analyzer kits, including serial numbers The serial numbers are in the following range 53900001 – 60199999. Cords with lot numbers not matching these dates are NOT affected. On the other hand, cords without a number or with an illegible number should be considered affected by the recall.

What should affected consumers do?

Consumers in possession of an affected cord are asked to immediately cease use and contact Fluke to receive a free replacement product.
