focus on productivity and creation

The Chinese firm is releasing a new 23.8-inch monitor, the MateView SE. Tour of its characteristics.

Huawei launched all a series of novelties last February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. New laptops, an e-reader, an all-in-one PC or even a hybrid tablet have been unveiled. Now, the Chinese manufacturer is launching alongside two 16-inch laptops a new monitor, the MateView SE.

Like the MateBook D16 and MateBook 16S, this new screen is above all designed for productivity and therefore to meet the criteria of comfort in the context of prolonged use. As such, the panel is TÜV Rheinland certified for its low blue light emission, but also Flicker-Free for flickering and SGS Low Visual Fatigue.

In terms of design, the frame of the monitor is relatively thin since the screen occupancy rate is 92%.

This 23.8-inch IPS LCD monitor with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution additionally supports 100% of that of sRGB colors.

It is thus suitable for teleworkers, students, but also for graphic design and creation specialists.

Some additional features

The MateView SE offers a refresh rate of 75 Hz, while the standard is set at 60 Hz. Admittedly, we are quite far from the rates observed for the gaming monitors which require a minimum of 120Hz, or even 144Hz, but that’s also higher than most displays designed for productivity, such as the Huawei MateView 28.2 inches. Huawei also has a specific range, the MateView GTfor video game lovers.

In addition, this new monitor offers an eBook mode responsible for reducing the color temperature to provide better reading comfort.

Finally, note that it is adjustable vertically to go from landscape to portrait format, but also in height and inclination.

In terms of connectivity, it includes the traditional DisplayPort and HDMI.

The MateView SE will be offered in two versions. The model with 8 ms of latency will be available in the fall at a price of 159.99 euros. The second with 5 ms of latency will be marketed from August at 169.99 euros.
