Foods that are forbidden for patients with triglycerides

1- starchy vegetables

Some studies have warned against eating starchy vegetables, such as potatoes, peas and sweet potatoes, in case you suffer from increased triglycerides in the blood.

These vegetables contain a high percentage of starch, which the body converts into triglycerides, so it is preferable to replace them with broccoli, turnips and mushrooms.

2- canned fish

It is better to eat fresh seafood, because canned fish is added to a large amount of oils, which cause high cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood.

It is recommended to completely avoid or reduce starchy foods, such as pasta, rice and oats, because the starch available in large quantities is converted in the blood into triglycerides.

4- Sweets

It is necessary to avoid sweets, because their high sugars are converted inside the body into triglycerides, and the same applies to sugary drinks, such as soft drinks and canned juices.

Baked goods cause an increase in triglycerides in the blood, due to the fatty materials used in their preparation, such as ghee, butter and oil, in addition to their manufacture of white flour, which leads to high blood sugar.
