People with diabetes may suffer from what is known as “diabetic neuropathy”. It is a type of nerve damage that may lead to nerve damage throughout the body, especially in the legs and feet.
If the person suffers from a group of symptoms in the foot. He was diabetic. He must go to the hospital immediately.
Diabetic neuropathy occurs when blood sugar levels rise. Over time, it leads to the destruction of nerves in the body.
People with this health problem feel numbness and pain as if needles are stuck in the body. The dangerous thing is that when a person loses sensation in his feet. Most of the time he won’t notice the wound he gets.
Diabetics are advised to watch for any wounds. or sores or red spots. Or blisters filled with means. or deformities of the nails. All of these may lead to infection. or sepsis. It may lead to amputation.
