The fourth episode of the new season of “Mask Singer” was broadcast this Friday, April 22, 2022 on TF1. After the departure last week of the comedian Pierre Palmade and the director of the Miss France committee Sylvie Tellier, which were reciprocally under the costumes of the cosmonaut and the Chameleon, six characters were still in contention. During this prime time presented by Camille Combala novelty of the season has been introduced: an additional celebrity hidden under a gorilla costume has come to try to advance the investigation.
Above all, the jury had the task of carrying out an express investigation to discover his identity. Very quickly, thanks to the various clues given, – a lipstick, the mention of her job as a comedian, etc. -, then her performance on “Banana Split” by Lio, the jury unmasked her: it wasAnne Roumanoff.
The comedian was then able to support Anggun, Alessandra Sublet, Kev Adams and Jarry, who are still trying to find out who embodies the tree, the banana or even the butterfly. If certain characters remaining in the race inspire the jurors, like the butterfly in which they imagine the dancer Denitsa Ikonomova in particular, or the deer under which they believe among other things to guess Laurent Ournac, others leave them very interrogative. This is the case of the banana, of which they have not yet been able to guess the activity that made it famous. Or the crocodile: if Mika’s name had been put forward by the jury (after a few bonuses) and by the twittos (more quickly), new clues came to instill doubt. Besides the helmet that featured on his suit, the croc revealed that he hadn’t just made friends in the sports world, and spoke of “beatings in public”. What disconcert the investigators.
His singing performance on the title Fan by Pascal Obispo did not help them any more: as usual, the mysterious celebrity was distinguished by a small English accent. A peculiarity that some, on the set and on twitter, considered “forced”, which put them on the trail of an imitator.
Still others remained convinced that it was Mika, a singer who grew up in England. A star who, according to them, tends to confuse the issue by “holding back” his voice, and not going up in the treble as he knows how to do. The goal: to keep his identity uncertain for as long as possible. And it works perfectly! Mika or not Mika? On twitter, the case of the crocodile divides enormously.
