Minuto30.com .- The tranquility of the Medellin night was interrupted by an attempted robbery that left an American tourist injured.
According to preliminary versions, the incident occurred after 8 p.m. on Carrera 70 and Calle 43, when Demetric Allan Writh, a North American citizen, was in a commercial establishment. At that moment, a subject armed with a traumatic weapon entered the place with the intention of stealing his belongings.
Faced with the threat, Writh decided to resist the assault. In the middle of the struggle, the criminal, with a thin build and apparently wearing light clothing, shot at the tourist.
Wounded in his right leg, the American was rushed to a healthcare center in the southwest of the city, where he is recovering from the injuries caused by the impact of the projectile.

The competent authorities have already begun investigations to find the whereabouts of the person responsible for this criminal act.
