For the first time, Lithuania will become the meeting center of the automotive industry: the forum already in May | Business

On that day, the capital of Lithuania will become a center where professionals and experts of the world’s automotive industry will share their experience and insights. Among them are car manufacturer Ford, supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg, German car parts suppliers Continental and Forvia / Hella, the world’s largest bicycle manufacturer Pon.Bike, Lithuanian high-tech company group Teltonika, Germany, Great Representatives of the British and Swedish National Automobile Associations.

The participants of the forum will be welcomed by our country’s Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė and Minister of Communications Marius Skuodis.
The chairman of the BACC board, Giedrius Valuckas, says that automotive industry companies and service providers operating in Lithuania, together with scientific institutions, are a reliable and integral part of global business and innovation.

“Our cluster is determined to be at the forefront of industry changes, to contribute to the development of new solutions that meet today’s and future issues. The first event of its kind in Lithuania is intended to attract the attention of global companies to our country. Traditionally, we would be happy to participate in similar events abroad, but now we open the opportunity for the international community to meet in Lithuania, emphasizing our desire to be a center of innovation and business cooperation”, says the chairman of the board.

According to G. Valucka, the forum opens opportunities for business meetings and mutual cooperation in the entire mobility sector, starting with startups and technology developers, ending with large international corporations. It is a place where you can not only meet important industry players, but also make important contacts that can open up new opportunities for cooperation, joint ventures or create new business models.

At the Automotive Industry Forum ’24, autonomous driving technologies, electric cars, sustainable and efficient transport, industrial digitalization and other issues will be the most relevant topics. Companies such as Astra, Telesoftas, Elinta Motors, Histeel, Elameta and CIE LT Forge and others are already participating in the forum and business meetings.

“A car today is not only a vehicle, but also a complex device that integrates advanced information technologies, electronic solutions, which allows us to talk about a completely new concept of a vehicle. Therefore, we face challenges such as rapid technological obsolescence, the need to ensure cyber security, the need for new skills for employees and the integration of sustainable production processes. At the same time, it opens up huge opportunities for cluster members – both IT solution developers, electronic component suppliers, and developers of new materials and production technologies,” emphasizes the chairman of the BACC board.

Founded in 2013 and celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, the Baltic Auto Parts Cluster (BACC) consists of more than 20 car parts, component manufacturers, service providers and research institutions. About 15,000 people work in Lithuanian automotive industry companies. employees, their annual turnover exceeds 1 billion BACC unites German, Swedish, and Lithuanian capital companies that have been producing auto parts and components for the automotive, agricultural, and construction industry for more than 15 years.
“Automotive Industry Forum’24” will be held on May 16. at the “Litexpo” exhibition and congress center, during the “Balttechnika” exhibition.
