Independiente de Oliva fell this Saturday during their visit to Gimnasia de Comodoro Rivadavia by 84-70, a match played at the Socios Fundadores. The “I” came to this confrontation after stringing together three wins in a row, two in a row against Ferro and the last one against Riachuelo by 77 to 70.
The scorer of the match was Agustín Barreiro with 20 points and nine rebounds. While in Oliva’s team, Cristian Scaramuzzino scored 11.
The record of the Cordovan team is now 10 wins and 11 losses, in its first season in the most relevant category of Argentine basketball.
This is the second confrontation between both casts; both with victory for Gymnastics. The first by 95 to 94 in extra time, on November 3, 2022 in Oliva; the second this Saturday.
After Comodoro Rivadavia’s visit to Gimnasia, Independiente has 17 games left to complete the 38 games of the regular season, seven of them at home at Gigante on Route 9, including with Institute.
