As the first automaker to receive approval in Spain to introduce hands-free highway driving, the company is expanding the availability of Ford BlueCruise to more customers in Europe.

It is the third European country to authorize the use of BlueCruise, in addition to Great Britain and Germany. It is also available in the US and Canada.

Earlier this year, BlueCruise received approval for use on Britain’s motorway network, becoming the first advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) to offer true hands-free driving at motorway speeds in Europe. Approval for its use in Germany quickly came.

Customers in Great Britain with BlueCruise-equipped Mustang Mach-E vehicles are using BlueCruise today on designated motorways called Blue Zones, helping to make driving easier and more enjoyable, especially for long journeys or commuting in traffic.

In the coming weeks, customers in Germany and Spain will be able to order BlueCruise-equipped Mustang Mach-E vehicles to use and enjoy. Click here to find Blue Zones in Britain, Germany and Spain.

There are more than 260,000 BlueCruise-equipped Ford and Lincoln vehicles on the roads around the world. Customers have also spent more than 1.8 million hours enjoying and using BlueCruise and have driven 125 million hands-free miles and counting.
