In 2022, foreign direct investment drained into Tunisia reached 713 million dollars, an increase of 8%, according to the report on investment in the world.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) channeled into Tunisia reached 713 million dollars (about 2,200.67 million dinars), compared to 660 million dollars (about 2,037.09 million dinars) in 2021, according to the report on investment in world, published by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

Despite this increase in FDI, Tunisia has not yet managed to reach the level before the Covid-19 pandemic, i.e. 845 million dollars (about 2608.09 million dinars in 2019).

In North Africa and across the continent, Egypt performed best. This country has seen its FDI more than double to reach 11 billion dollars in 2022.

With $15 billion, North Africa will have been the region that attracted the most FDI flows from the continent in 2022, posting a 58% increase compared to 2021.
