“Foreign worker found dead at Perumbavoor Plywood Company after accident”

Kochi: The body of a foreign worker who went missing in an accident at Perumbavoor Plywood Company has been found. The dead body of Naseer Hussain (22), a native of Murshidabad, West Bengal, was found. The body was found following a day of searching.

The incident happened at seven o’clock yesterday morning. Nazir fell into the fire while pumping water to douse it when the 15-feet-high waste in the pit of the factory caught fire.

The fire brigade personnel from Perumbavoor, Kothamangalam and Muvattupuzha tried till six in the evening but might not find him. The search was conducted at night with the help of four earthmoving machines. T.P., a native of Odakali. The company belongs to Muhammad.
