The medical union of the Aragua and Miranda state, mainly in the forensic area, were dismayed by the death of Pedro Omar Fonssi Sosa, 72 years old, a forensic doctor who participated in the exhumation of the remains of the Liberator Simón Bolívar.
It was learned that he died at his residence in the Los Samanes urbanization in Maracay, Girardot municipality, in the state of Aragua.
Since 2020, when he became ill with COVID-19, his health had been complicated, the forensic expert carried out successful professional work in the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) and as a result of his great experience in the area, he participated in the exhumation of the remains of the Liberator Simón Bolívar.
As you will remember, this exhumation was carried out in July 2010, as part of a historical investigation opened by the National Government to clarify the causes of his death in 1830.
