Firefighters are fighting the flames on Mount Pangeo.
The work of extinguishing is difficult, as the fire burns in hard-to-reach places with steep ravines and cliffs.
So far only dry branches and leaves on the ground are being burned, and no forest lands are threatened.
According to protothema, 285 foresters are still working at the site, removing combustible material from the ground, in order to prevent the spread of the fire and contribute to extinguishing it.
Today, 5 aircraft and 2 helicopters – 1 for air coordination – made periodic drops from the air until the last light of day.
