20,000 tourists and locals have already been evacuated from the southeast of Rhodes. But the forest fires continue to rage and the fire-fighting planes are deployed. But the fires are not just limited to Rhodes. People have also been evacuated from Corfu. Large fires were reported on Monday morning on the island of Evia, near Karystos and on the Peloponnese peninsula near the small port town of Egio.
