Indie studio Alkemi in partnership with Dear Villagers announces its next scripted card game Performed. Coming this summer to PC and Switch, Foretales is a new kind of card game where storytelling and experimentation mingle with decksploration mechanics. Foretales tells the story of a collapsing world, doomed by a dark prophecy.
In the role of Volepain, an avian thief in his spare time, you will have to build your team by choosing from a selection of anthropomorphic characters ranging from the archer tiger Leo to the gorilla Karst, via the elephant Isabeau and the parrot Pattenbois.
Use each character’s unique skills as well as consumable cards to fight your way through a wide variety of encounters and scripted situations. Choose to approach a scenario using stealth, crafting a trick, making a trade, or engaging in good old fashioned brawls. Repeat the story several times to unlock all the narrative branches, find several solutions to the same problem to discover a way to achieve what seemed impossible to you at first.
Save the world… or on the contrary bring about its downfall. Which path will you follow?
