Former child actor Austin Majors dies aged 27

As reported by TMZ, former child actor Austin Majors has been found dead in Los Angeles. His family has already released a statement.
Like the online portal “TMZreported, former actor Austin Majors died last Saturday at the age of just 27. Majors became known through the series “NYPD Blue”, in which he embodied the son of Dennis Franz’ role Andy Sipowicz for seven years. Austin died in a homeless shelter in Los Angeles – he is said to have had contacts in the drug scene.
Austin Majors’ family: ‘We will always miss him dearly’
The actor’s family confirmed his death and released a statement. It states that Austin “was a loving, artistic, brilliant and kind person. Austin was very happy and proud of his acting career. He was an active Eagle Scout and finished second in high school. He then graduated from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts with a passion for directing and music production.”
It continues, “Austin’s younger sister Kali says her fondest memories of Austin were growing up with him on set, volunteering at events with ‘Kids With a Cause’ and backpacking together. Austin was the kind of son, brother, grandson and nephew who made us proud and will always be missed.”
The actor has also appeared in other productions such as An Accidental Christmas, Volare, and Just In Case Jim.
