Some 200 people, according to the organizers, blocked access to the Delhaize on avenue De Fré in Uccle on Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The action was initiated by a group of former customers of the supermarket chain, determined to support staff in the face of the commercial group’s decision to franchise all its stores.

The activists were made up of former Delhaize customers but also employees of the supermarket chain. They prevented trucks from accessing the brand’s store located on avenue De Fré in Uccle, and prevented customers from entering, calling on them to boycott this brand. But bailiffs, accompanied by police, quickly intervened to order the activists to free the access.
