Former Dutch goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar (52) has been admitted to intensive care in a Croatian hospital, Ajax Amsterdam announced on its social networks. The Ajax legend, who became the club’s general manager following his career between 2016 and 2023, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage while on vacation.
The Dutch club clarified that his condition is stable and added: “As soon as we have more information, we will take stock of the situation. The whole club wishes him a quick recovery. Edwin, we are thinking of you”.
