The singer and actor Ricardo Crespo was sentenced to 19 years in prison after being found guilty in the crime of sexual abuse against his daughter. In February 2021, the Mexican artist was placed in preventive detention and after a long process, he now faces his sentence.
The former Garibaldi and actor from series such as Control Z and El Dragón abused his daughter Valentina, who was the victim of the attacks from the age of five to 14, as she herself revealed. This was announced by the RPRC Lawyers office, which specified the sentence after being found guilty of the crime of aggravated sexual abuse.
“On May 3 of this year, a trial judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City sentenced Ricardo Crespo to 19 years in prison for having found him guilty of the crime of aggravated sexual abuse, committed continuously in coin her daughter, the minor with a reserved identity with the initials VCR, who suffered these behaviors from the ages of 5 to 14,” says a statement issued by the law firm that represented the accuser during the process.
“We know that it is impossible for victims of sexual violence to obtain absolute compensation for the violation of human rights to which they were subjected and the profound impact it has on them, however, this legal advisor hopes that obtaining justice will contribute to the recovery of a full life”, continued the referred.
According to the investigations, Ricardo Crespo had sexually abused his daughter between the ages of 5 and 14. Until the victim decided to tell what happened to her mother, who supported her to act criminally.
The former Garibaldi was arrested by the Attorney General’s Office and later linked to the process. Ricardo Crespo will be held in a Mexican prison; it is unknown if he will ever have a chance to reduce his sentence.
