But the Swiss has fallen back on his feet: he now earns €7.73 million a year in Chicago, according to MLS Players Association. He is the highest paid player in the American Championship ahead of Chicharito Hernandez (5.7 M€ at LA Galaxy) and Gonzalo Higuain (5.5 M€ at Inter Miami).
